2.5 GPS CONNECTION

Datalogic Jet™ GPS model provides a GPS Connection to allow for both satellite

communications (if equipped) and geolocating abilities.

The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a satellite-based navigation system made up

of a network of 24 satellites that provides location and timing information around the

globe. GPS works in any weather conditions, anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day.

There are no subscription fees or setup charges to use GPS.

To use the GPS Connection you have the following options:

− install a commercial navigation software with country or regional maps pre-

installed on its SD Card (see instructions on par. 1.4);

− access to a free web mapping service via a GPRS/Wi-Fi connection;

− design a navigation software following the instructions on the Help SDK .

Datalogic Jet™ GPS model only supports Windows Mobile operating system.
